ER is committed to using behavioural profiling in its dealings with applicants and with employers.

The tool that we use is called DISC. The results of the simple online questionnaire will be analysed to produce a detailed report which describes a person’s general approach, their motivations, strengths and development needs and how they are likely to react in specific circumstances.

DISC evaluates four key factors of an individual’s behaviour – dominance, influence, steadiness and compliance. These can be characterised as assertiveness, communication, patience and structure. The possible variations across all the factors and traits gives the possibility of 1 million different profiles.

Our reports are validated by the British Psychological Society to 87.6% accuracy, although our applicants and employers say that they are far more accurate – spookily so!

ALL profile reports are positive! There is no such thing as a bad assessment. We have what we have, and the key is to understand ours strengths so that we can develop them further, and to acknowledge any behaviours that are not as strong, so that we can manage them effectively.

DISC also allows us to create an ideal Role Profile for each vacancy. This involves the construction of an ideal behavioural profile for a specific role and enables us to compare these against an individuals DISC results.
